FAQs

Where are the wine glasses and champagne flutes kept?

In the dining room in the end cupboard

Is there enough hot water?

Please make sure you stagger showers and baths. There is enough hot water but due to the size of the house you need to stagger these so the house can keep up with the demand. If everyone takes a shower/bath at the same time, someone may end up with a cold shower.

Heating

In winter and Autumn the heating is on in the morning until 10am and from the late afternoon until 11pm. If you find you are cold at any point, please text us which area is cold and we will boost this remotely.

Oven

To get the main oven working, make sure all the switches on the back wall are switched on. If the time display is still blank, the fuse may have tripped. The fuse for the oven is in the basement behind the dartboard. If the time display is flashing 00.00 please set the time by twisting the knob on the left anticlockwise and twisting the knob on the right clockwise. It doesn’t matter what time is displayed but there needs to be a time for the oven to work.

Electric Fuse Panels

Electric fuse panels /trip are located in the cellar (behind the dart board), rear hall (above the kitchen entrance) and at first landing level (back staircase), or call for help!
